Product Features
Soundproof fabric is not an ordinary fabric in the traditional sense, but a functional acoustic material designed with a multi-layer composite structure. Through scientifically proportioned material combinations, it achieves efficient blocking and absorption of sound waves. Its core structure usually includes three key components:
Outer Protective Layer: Often made of wear-resistant and stain-resistant fabrics such as polyester fiber and nylon, it not only has good physical strength to resist daily friction and stains but also offers various color options (such as light gray, off-white, dark brown) and textures (such as linen texture, suede texture) according to usage scenarios, matching different decoration styles while balancing practicality and aesthetics;
Middle Soundproof Core Layer: This is the key to the acoustic performance of the soundproof fabric. Common materials include high-density soundproof cotton, polyvinyl butyral (PVB) soundproof film, or special metal damping layers. High-density soundproof cotton absorbs sound wave energy through its internal porous structure, reducing sound wave reflection; the PVB soundproof film uses the damping properties of polymer materials to weaken sound wave vibration transmission; the metal damping layer has a significant blocking effect on mid-to-low frequency noise (such as elevator operation and outdoor air conditioning noise) and can be flexibly combined according to noise types;
Inner Adhesive Layer: Made of environmentally friendly hot melt adhesive or non-woven fabric material, it ensures tight adhesion of the soundproof fabric to walls, ceilings, and furniture surfaces, preventing sound wave leakage caused by gaps, while reducing damage to the base layer during installation and improving construction convenience.
Working Principle
The soundproof principle of the fabric is based on the synergistic effect of multiple mechanisms. When sound waves reach the surface of the soundproof fabric, part of the sound is reflected back, reducing the sound energy entering the room; part of the sound is absorbed by the internal fiber structure of the fabric, converting sound energy into heat through friction and vibration between fibers; another part of the sound is continuously refracted and scattered within the multi-layer structure of the fabric, extending the propagation path and gradually attenuating the energy, thereby achieving efficient sound insulation.
